Here I am with Constance Mayer, Director of Programs & Operations at Dress for Success Pittsburgh, after my presentation.

It was such a pleasure for me to be able to present ’s “Credit 101” seminar at Dress for Success in my hometown of Pittsburgh on September 8, 2011.

The “Credit 101” seminar created by covers the ins and outs of credit, credit scores and more.

Dress for Success is a non-profit organization that provides interview suits, confidence boosts, and career development to low-income women in over 75 cities worldwide.

I was blown away by the Women of Dress For Success from the Director of Programs and Operations, Constance Mayer’s, drive and dedication to help to the participating women’s dedication and drive to improve their situations. These women are taking control of their lives and Dress for Success is playing a big part.  I was happy we were able to contribute.

Knowledge is power in managing your financial life.  And knowledge about credit and credit scores is essential for people to know what to do and what is important. The first step to getting a good credit rating is to know what to do.  Since most people cannot get a financial education, we are giving it to them.  That’s why we created the “Credit 101” seminar to help people have the knowledge they need.

I encourage any women who are committed to entering the workforce to reach out to an organization like this. It’s never too late to begin a career or turn around your financial standings.  For anyone looking to give back and make a difference, Dress for Success is a great place to volunteer.
